Saturday 26 January 2008	Over 100 artworks were exhibited as part of this exciting opportunity to bid for original pieces by more than 30 of Oxford's leading artists. The auction took place at the OVADA Gallery on Saturday the 26th of January between 6pm - 9pm. View pictures online
Tuesday 27 March 2007	Making Spaces: How should cultural cities provide affordable studio space for artists? Artists and friends of Magdalen Road Studios met for a lively evenings' discussion of the link between artists and regeneration. David Panton, founder-director of ACME, the UK's largest studio provider, described what other cities have achieved. Verity Slater presented the Arts Council's latest views.

Saturday 1st November 2003:	Approaches to drawing workshop with Mohamed Bushara During his exhibition Mohamed lead a workshop in the exhibition space.
Saturday 25th October 2003:	Poetry reading by Vahni Capildeo, Nancy Mattson and Chuma Nwokolo during Mohamed Bushara's exhibition Dislocation.
Saturday 18th October 2003:	Ways of drawing with Diane Jones-Parry Drawing is traditionally regarded as the work most intimately connected to the artist. This informal workshop looked at the process of drawing as a way of thinking.
11th October 2003:	Drawing for sculpture with Diana Bell This workshop will look at the way sculptors have used drawing in the preperation of their ideas.
4th October 2003:	Drawing the world with Dana Finch A fully expanded/ liberated drawing experience. This workshop dealt with the interplay of abstract and representational forms, using a variety of materials.
13 June 2003 onwards:	Use your creativity 5 sessions with tutor Diana Bell MA. "for anyone wanting to develop their own creativity. You will be guided towards a way of working linked to your own experiences. The work you make could be a painting, a series of drawings, an object or a sculpture."
Saturday 5th October 2002:	Slide talk - Leiden artists , six artists from Leiden in The Netherlands (twinned with Oxford) are visiting the city on exchange. The artists will be based at Magdalen Road Studios.
Saturday 14th September 2002:	'Workshops and object makers' Slide talk and discussion with artist Steve Hurst. Hurst is exhibiting sculpture in progress and working drawings, in a show titled THE WHITE AND THE RED.
June 2002:	VAIN - a day of experimental live art. Performance work took place in daytime sites around the city of Oxford, and at the Freud venue in the evening. Organised by Hilary Kneale and Ann Rapstoff, vainliveart@hotmail.com This was the second VAIN and it is hoped that it will become a yearly event.
October 14th 2001:	Talk. Artist Mohamed Bushara in conversation with the poet Rip Bulkeley. This took place in the gallery space during an exhibition of Mohamed Bushara's paintings
22nd June 2001:	Drawing Workshop led by Diane Jones-Parry and Clare Carswell.
20th October 2001: Drawing Led by Mohammed Bushara.	Drawing Session led by Mohammed Bushara. Students experimented with mark making using ink and a collection of unusual materials.
2001:	VAIN live art event at Freud's café/bar, a listed church in Jericho, Oxford. Show-casing new and experimental work. Eleven artists from across the UK showed pieces involving music, sound, dance, voice, video and film. This attracted a capacity audience of over 200.
2001:	Talk from internationally know Sudanese artist Ibrahim El-Salahi. Accompanied by slides of paintings made throughout his career.
31st October - 28th November 2001:	A Journey into Contemporary Art. Five sessions with Diana Bell as tutor.
2001:	Experimental drawing day led by Diane Jones-Parry and Janine Charles This included a discussion about the possibilities of what drawing can be, a series of rapid exercises, and a chance to make large collaborative drawings./td>
2000:	PIX Weekend of video and film art. A continuous programme of work showing throughout the day, plus two evening screenings.

Maresa Jung	7th - 28th May 2005: The OVADA Gallery Gloucester Green Oxford. Opening hours: 10-5 Tues - Fri Thurs 10 - 8 Sat 11- 4	EDEN An exhibition by five women artists from Bonn on the theme of gardens. The artists are: Maresa Jung, Divna Omaljev, Margret Schopka, Ellen Sinzig and Ursual Witzlau. This exhibition is the return part of the exchange between Magdalen Road Studios and the Lilium artists group from the Frauenmuseum in Bonn, Germany. Bonn is Oxford's Twin city and this exhibition is organised by Magdalen Road Studios in partnership with Oxford City Council and Ovada gallery.

	17 - 25th May 2003	ARTWEEKS exhibition and open studios. Eight artists exhibiting in their studio spaces, plus ASSOCIATE ARTISTS show in the front space.
	May 2003 Bonn, Germany	MAGDALEN ROAD STUDIOS (featuring six studio artists) at Karstadt and CHILDREN OF THE MILLENIUM installation by Diana Bell. Part of Oxford Week in Bonn, one of Oxford's twin cities.
	30th Nov - 8th Dec 2002	OXFORD IMAGINE An exchange exhibition by French artists from the Drome Valley organised by Art in Situ in collaboration with Magdalen Road Studios. The artists also exhibited at the X-change Gallery, Oxford.
	7th - 21st September 2002:	THE WHITE AND THE RED Sculpture in progress and working drawings by Steve Hurst.
	May 2002:	ARTWEEKS OPEN STUDIOS The entire building was open to the public, with artists showing painting, sculpture, installation, photography and drawing in their work spaces .
	December 2001:	TAKEAWAY An exhibition of affordable art. Artists were invited to submit small works for sale, with a 20% commission to raise funds for the studio. A diverse range of work by artists including Mike Gaston and Andy Walton, as well as studio members.
	October 14th - 28th 2001:	New paintings by MOHAMMED BUSHARA, in the gallery space. Works in ink by Sudanese artist and studio member Mohamed Bushara, who was supported by Southern Arts.
	October 14th - 21st 2001:	OPEN STUDIOS Other artists from Magdalen Road Studios opened their working spaces to the public, presenting both resolved works and work in progress.
	May 2001:	ARTWEEK OPEN STUDIOS.

	2000:	CHILTERN SCULPTURE TRAIL. Highly successful fundraising show to which artists including Anya Gallaccio donated works for sale.
