Over 100 artworks were exhibited as part of this exciting opportunity to bid for original pieces by more than 30 of Oxford's leading artists. The auction took place at the OVADA Gallery on Saturday the 26th of January between 6pm - 9pm. |

the world with Dana Finch A fully expanded/ liberated drawing experience. This workshop dealt with the interplay of abstract and representational forms, using a variety of materials. |

your creativity 5 sessions with tutor Diana Bell MA. "for anyone wanting to develop their own creativity. You will be guided towards a way of working linked to your own experiences. The work you make could be a painting, a series of drawings, an object or a sculpture." |

talk - Leiden artists , six artists from Leiden in The Netherlands
(twinned with Oxford) are visiting the city on exchange. The artists will
be based at Magdalen Road Studios. |
| Saturday 14th September 2002: | 'Workshops and object makers' Slide talk and discussion with artist Steve Hurst. Hurst is exhibiting sculpture in progress and working drawings, in a show titled THE WHITE AND THE RED. |

VAIN - a day of experimental live art. Performance work took place in daytime sites around the city of Oxford, and at the Freud venue in the evening. Organised by Hilary Kneale and Ann Rapstoff, vainliveart@hotmail.com This was the second VAIN and it is hoped that it will become a yearly event. |

mark making using ink and a collection of unusual materials. |

live art event at Freud's café/bar, a listed church in Jericho,
Oxford. Show-casing new and experimental work. Eleven artists from across
the UK showed pieces involving music, sound, dance, voice, video and film.
This attracted a capacity audience of over 200. |

EDEN An exhibition by five women artists
from Bonn on the theme of gardens. The artists are: Maresa
Jung, Divna Omaljev, Margret Schopka, Ellen Sinzig and Ursual Witzlau.
This exhibition is the return part of the exchange between Magdalen Road Studios and the Lilium artists group from the Frauenmuseum in Bonn, Germany. Bonn is Oxford's Twin city and this exhibition is organised by Magdalen Road Studios in partnership with Oxford City Council and Ovada gallery. |

December 2001: | TAKEAWAY An exhibition of affordable art. Artists were invited to submit small works for sale, with a 20% commission to raise funds for the studio. A diverse range of work by artists including Mike Gaston and Andy Walton, as well as studio members. |
