Magdalen Road Studios is a not-for-profit, professional studio space offering affordable spaces for Oxford and international visiting artists, who work in a wide range of media - painting, sculpture, video, installation, drawing, performance and photography. 

The recent expansion has created 25 studios and a teaching space for workshops and classes open to all. For information about life drawing and portrait painting classes contact Francis O'Neill. One of the aims of the studios is to bring together artists from different cultural backgrounds to work and exchange ideas. Studio artists are involved in projects in France, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Hungary. We have a policy of encouraging young artists at the beginning of their careers.
