Using a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses printmaking, painting, sculpture, and moving image as well as photography, the works reflect on the conceptual and material qualities of the photographic, exploring its inherent relationship to light and reality.
The artists are interested in how truth is revealed or concealed in a variety of contexts, including the justice system, archaeological sites, the nature of wealth and material value, and memory. Using transparency and opacity; presence and absence; and fragility and destruction their work illuminates these themes in insightful and distinctive ways.
